Chi kung, also known as Qi – Gong is the art of developing vital energy particularly for health, vitality, mind expansion and spiritual cultivation.

In Taoism, CHI ((energy, including the thoughts and emotions) refers to the living energy in all things. KUNG is a term that refers to the achievements of long practice. Together, as CHI KUNG, describe a relationship between someone who cultivates the chi and the discipline they use.

Chi Kung is an integration of physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intentions. The gentle, rhythmic movements of Chikung reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.

Those who maintain a consistent practice of Chikung find that it helps one regain a youthful vitality, maintain health even into old age and helps speed recovery from illness.

Chi Kung is ancient Chinese martial arts practice intended to “align” body, breath, and mind for health, meditation, and martial arts training.

Facilitator: Dr Ronak Gandhi is 4th Dan in Japanese Zen Archery – Kyudo & practicing Chi Kung since 18 years.
